Account Conversion (Settings > Claim Accounts > [Account] > Account Conversion)

What is Account Conversion?

Account Conversion defines which other claim accounts the current account’s balance can be converted to. When configured, employees can transfer their unused entitlement from one account to another (e.g., transfer Medical Fund balance to Training Fund).

Why This Feature Exists: Employees often have unused balances in one benefit account while needing more in another. Account Conversion provides flexibility by allowing pre-approved transfers between accounts.

How It Works:

  1. Admin defines conversion rules for each claim account
  2. Each rule specifies which target account(s) money can flow into
  3. When employees have remaining balance, they can request conversion to allowed target accounts
  4. The converted amount is deducted from the source account and added to the target account

How to Set Up Account Conversion:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Claim Accounts
  2. Select the source account (where balance comes FROM)
  3. Click on the Account Conversion tab
  4. Click "+ Add" to create a new conversion rule
  5. Fill in the form fields:

What is HR Claim Approval Setting?

HR Claim Approval Setting allows you to assign specific employees as HR approvers for claims submitted against this claim account. When configured, claims from this account will route through the assigned HR approvers based on their approval level.

Why This Feature Exists: For certain claim accounts (especially medical or sensitive benefits), HR oversight is required. This feature lets you designate who in HR can approve claims and at what level in the approval chain.

How It Works:

  1. Admin assigns employees as HR approvers for a specific claim account
  2. Each approver is assigned an Approval Level (1, 2, 3, etc.)
  3. When claims are submitted to this account, they route through the assigned approvers in order of their approval level
  4. Level 1 approvers review first, then Level 2, and so on

How to Add an HR Approver:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Claim Accounts
  2. Select the claim account (e.g., Medical Fund)
  3. Click on HR Claim Approval tab
  4. Click "+ Add" to add an approver
  5. A dialog will open to select an employee

This tab shows the real-time claim balance of every employee who has entitlements under this account. It’s your “balance dashboard” for a specific fund.
