Cancel, correct and reconcile with MyInvois · lesson 2 of 6 · for the whole-system operator — you run the books Read the full lesson · Back to the course

These slides need JavaScript to advance one at a time. Without it every slide is shown below, one after another — or read the full lesson, which carries the same steps, the same audio and the whole transcript.

Step 1 — Check that the e-invoice is actually wrong

You will not destroy a valid e-invoice on the strength of a report that looked odd.

  • Check the document type on both rows before you conclude anything

72 hours

All still inside their 72 hours

Step 2 — Line up the approver before you raise anything

The request you are about to raise will not stall for want of a person.

  • Find your approver now, tell them what is coming…

Valid

The e-invoice status is Valid

Step 3 — Raise the request

A cancellation request exists against the e-invoice, waiting for approval.

Internal Submission → To IRB E-Invoice with the Valid laptop invoice opened and the Request for Rejection button, then the new row in Cancellation → Rejection Requests reading requested and in progress

Step 4 — Approve it and decide what happens to the sales document

The request is approved with a recorded decision about the invoice behind it.

  • Go to Cancellation, then Rejection Requests, open the request…
  • Create a new reversal document if your accounting policy is to reverse rather than…

Cancellation → Rejection Requests with the request opened on Update, approval status set to Approved and the processing logic list showing the four choices

Step 5 — Send the cancellation to LHDN

LHDN has cancelled the e-invoice, or you know exactly why not.

  • Go to Cancellation, then Cancellation Queue, and read the row
Screen capture pending the demo tenant

Cancellation → Cancellation Queue with the row's detail panel open, showing the processing logic and an empty Request Error field

Step 6 — Handle a consolidated e-invoice

You will not destroy a month's reporting with one wrong choice.

Step 7 — Confirm it went through

You can prove the cancellation, in thirty seconds.

  • Open the e-invoice on Internal Submission, then To IRB E-Invoice
  • Go to Cancellation, then Rejection Requests; your request shows as completed and approved…
  • Look at the sales document behind it…
  • Watch that one on To IRB E-Invoice to Valid, not Submitted…

Internal Submission → To IRB E-Invoice with two rows for the laptop order, the original reading Cancelled and the corrected invoice reading Valid
