Member Label Lists
A label list is a grouping of labels: Contact preference holds PREF-EMAIL, PREF-SMS and NO-MARKETING. That is the whole idea, and it takes two minutes to set up.
It is worth doing before you create your labels, because a label created inside a list carries that list’s code — and reorganising fifty labels afterwards is a worse afternoon than planning three lists now.
Meet GadgetSphere
GadgetSphere Sdn Bhd runs three label lists across its loyalty programme:

Three lists, nine labels, and anybody can find what they need.
Step 1: Create the list
Membership Admin > Member Label List > +
Two required fields — Label List Code and Label List Name — then Create.
Step 2: Put labels in it
Click the list > Labels tab > +
A label created here belongs to this list, and it also appears in the main Member Label listing. You can create labels from either screen; creating them from inside the list is the tidier habit because the grouping is decided at the moment of creation.
Step 3: Keep it maintained
Click the list > Details tab
The name and status are editable; the code is what everything else refers to. Set a list to inactive rather than deleting it when a segmentation scheme is retired — the labels under it are on member records, and those records are history.
What success looks like
One minute:
- Open Member Label List. Your lists are there, and you can say in one phrase what each is for.
- Open one and check its Labels tab holds what you expect.
- Open the main Member Label listing. Every label shows the list it belongs to — none is orphaned.
