Prove the month: the Discrepancies Report · presentation 3 of 4

What passes the report silently, and how you will know

You can name the four things the Discrepancies Report cannot see — LHDN's own records, skipped documents…

Four things it cannot see

Step 1 — It has never spoken to LHDN

You will know the first limit and its signature.

What this step names
  1. An invoice somebody keyed straight into the MyInvois portal
  2. One sent by another system before you moved to BigLedger
  3. Exists at LHDN
  4. Nowhere in this report

Step 2 — Skipped documents are listed as missing

You will stop chasing receipts you deliberately did not report.

What you do
  1. Read that line first, subtract it from the missing count…

Step 3 — A cancelled consolidated e-invoice leaves its receipts reading as reported

You will check one column before you believe a zero.

Cancelled

The one tell is the Cancelled figure on the IRB Audit Summary

Step 4 — A rejected e-invoice appears on no tab at all

The report's cleanest-looking failure will be visible to you.

Invalid

The header stays and its status becomes Invalid

Step 5 — Two rows that will always be zero, and one class of document that is never examined

You will not wait for figures that cannot arrive.

What you do
  1. Read them as placeholders

Proving the month anyway

Step 6 — The two-screen check that catches all four

You will have a routine that the report alone does not give you.

  • Compare the month's document count with your MyInvois dashboard
