You can map a company and branch pair from the side that will maintain it…

Companies and branches

Step 1 — Map your company and branch to the partner's

A company and branch pairing exists on both sides.

What this step names
  1. A mapping says: this company and branch of mine
  2. This customer or supplier record I keep for the partner
  3. Correspond to that company
  4. Branch of theirs

Step 2 — Create the mapping from the side that will maintain it

You will know which side should own each mapping.

What this step names
  1. It records the partner's own company and branch
  2. Your customer record as the other party
  3. Nothing else: not which of your companies it points back to
  4. Not the partner's own record for you

Items

Step 3 — Open items to the partner, as the host

The dealer can see the items you chose and no others.

  • Open the item in Doc Item Maintenance, then its T2T Item Mapping tab…
  • Add a permission for the dealer's tenant against that item

Step 4 — Pair the items, as the guest

The two item codes are paired on both sides.

  • Choose GadgetSphere Distribution from the tenant list…
  • Save, and the pair is written on both sides…

Step 5 — Reconcile the item masters yourself, before and after

You will know which part of item mapping is your job.

What this step names
  1. It copies no description
  2. Unit
  3. Price or tax code
  4. A later edit on either side is not carried across…

Teams, and ending the link

Step 6 — Add the partner's users to an external team, knowing what is not established

You will know what an external team is and what nobody has yet told you about it.

What you do
  1. Ask BigLedger what the team grants and add nobody until you have the answer…

Step 7 — Disconnect, and know what stays behind

You can end a link without surprises.

What this step names
  1. Either side can end it: the guest by answering disconnect
  2. The host by changing the connection's status
  3. Both records move together
