Expiry Rules
Points expiry rules determine when unspent points are automatically removed from a member’s balance. Expiry drives urgency to redeem and reduces the financial liability of outstanding points on your books. Without expiry, outstanding point balances grow indefinitely — this becomes a material liability on the balance sheet.
Warning
Expiry rules have a direct financial impact. Get sign-off from your Finance Controller before activating. Poorly communicated expiry also causes member complaints — always plan the member communication strategy alongside the rule configuration.
