Membership is an editorial judgement and is generated from one membership table. Manufacturing owns four applets and uses three Inventory applets as supporting.

The four applets this module owns

From Inventory — supporting applets used here

AppletWhat manufacturing takes from it
Stock BalanceThe quantity and moving-average cost per item and location that finalisation changes; the Outstanding Report reads the same ledger quantity
Stock ConversionThe one-step alternative to a job order for repacks and kits; its edit form links a conversion to job orders
Stock Reservation AppletThe bin reservations a job order holds and the expiry processor that releases them

From Core

AppletWhat manufacturing needs
Inventory Item MaintenanceEvery input and output item on a template; the item’s Process Template tab lists the templates that use it, with Replace
Organisation AppletThe branch and location a process instance moves stock at
Workflow DesignThe custom-status mechanism behind the packing applet’s Workflow Settings

From Sales

AppletRelationship
Sales Order (Internal)Demand: a line’s MRP tab sets the production request status to REQUESTED and links the line to a job order; MRP_MANDATORY_FOR_NON_FINISHED_GOODS (with ENABLE_MRP_JOB_ORDER_LINK) makes the screen require one of the three MRP statuses to be REQUESTED on lines without the Fast Moving Goods label — a request, not a job-order link; the packing order is knocked off from the sales order, and the packing supervisor’s approval releases the order’s stock reservation
Job Sheet (Internal)A service record, not a manufacturing document. The packing applet offers it — with the delivery order and the sales invoice — as a knock-off source when the company’s Doc Flow row for that pair is enabled; the backend’s own previous-document connector lists the sales order only

From Financial Accounting

Nothing here posts, so no posting rule is configured there for the module’s documents. A work-in-progress figure goes to the WIP tab of the Closing Stock Balance in Chart of Account: map the company’s STOCK_BALANCE_WIP and COGS_WIP default GL codes, key the month’s value, and Month End Processing posts it (where a work-in-progress figure goes). A cost-of-goods-manufactured figure is a manual journal built from the module’s quantities.

What Manufacturing supplies to other modules

  • Inventory: the stock transaction lines a finalised process instance writes. Inventory costs each at the item’s own unit cost at that location, so no cost passes from inputs to output.
  • Sales: the job-order link on a sales-order line and the packed-bin record behind the delivery.
  • Core: the process-template usage shown on the item record.

Built, but not in the registry

Two applets, Internal Kitting and Process Monitoring (operator, supervisor and QC views per process), exist in source with no row in the applet registry as of the 2026-09-05 export. They cannot be installed from the Applet Store, so they have no page here: a page for an applet you cannot install or open would promise something you cannot use.
