Ask for your e-invoice from the customer portal · presentation 3 of 5

Give your details

You can complete the buyer form the shop's system puts in front of you, choose the identification document that will actually pass…

Step 1 — Fill the whole form, not the easy half

You will know what "enough" looks like, so you gather it once.

What this step names
  1. The form wants your name as it should appear on a tax…
  2. An identification type and its number
  3. Your tax identification number
  4. An e-mail address
  5. A contact number
  6. An address with line one

Step 2 — Choose the identification document that will pass

Every e-invoice carries the buyer's tax number together with an identity document type and the number that goes with it.

Step 3 — Know the four choices and the characters they refuse

Nothing in the drop-down will puzzle you and nothing you paste will surprise you.

What this step names
  1. The identification type list holds exactly four entries and nothing else can…
  2. National identity card
  3. Business registration number
  4. Armed forces identification

Step 4 — Have your tax number checked before you commit

The form will let you through, or tell you why not.

Step 5 — Recognise the one combination with no answer

You will not spend an afternoon on something this form genuinely cannot do.

What this step names
  1. If you hold a foreign passport and have no Malaysian tax number…
  2. You will not get past it at all…
  3. There is nothing you can type here that will make it

Step 6 — Know what becomes of what you typed

You will know whether you have to do all this again next time.
