Tax codes, SST and what LHDN actually sees · presentation 4 of 5

Six rows in Tax Configuration that are not tax codes

You can recognise the six seeded rows that carry the LHDN tax-type names inside the tax-code table, say why nothing reads them…

The rows that look like the answer

Step 1 — Look at the six rows

You will recognise them on sight.

  • Open Tax Configuration in any tenant and among the tax codes you will find…
Screen capture pending the demo tenant

Tax Configuration listing, filtered to show the six rows coded 01 to 06 with a blank Tax Type Name

Step 2 — Confirm that nothing reads them

You will know they cannot hurt you.

You will know what else not to rely on.

  1. Two boolean columns on a tax code
  2. Marking it as input or output
  3. Are written by this applet
  4. Read by no drop-down — those filter on the type string instead

The part nobody has switched on

Step 6 — Find out how much of this surface anyone uses

You will know where the thin ice is.

What this step names
  1. Across every tenant
  2. The withholding type column is empty on essentially every tax code
  3. Codes with one exist in a single tenant
